Victoria Case Study
Ark Designs will be working with local government and community support groups to fully integrate management and services in supporting the homeless and transitional communities in Victoria.
Life skills and personal development can be the progressive approach to growth and transition forward for all our citizens.
Our Place run by Don Evens and Lee-Ann Dolan who estimate our homeless swing up to 1100 over the year. About half require the intensity of supported care for months or years.
The rest need safe and secure housing close to their downtown community of friends and acquaintances. Most would welcome a life of acceptance by all Victoria’s citizens yet they experience a life of rejection, fear and hatred. They feel they have become the lepers of our modern age.
Citizens in transition from crushed to whole, from sick to healthy, from dependent to more self-sufficient living. From being rejected to acceptance as a fellow villager.
Ecovillages designed by Ark Design Group are a means to this end as investors and the community, the homeless and government zoning and approvals resolve this housing issue.
Provincial Government provides $375.00 to $610.00 monthly to provide housing. Conscientious local citizens and other investors can through the new C3 legislation bring these micro homes and permaculture landscaping to our Vancouver Island, Vancouver and beyond.
Beautiful little homes that blend into their setting, built to last easily 30 or more years- with minimal repair and maintenance and no ‘monthly electrical, water service bills for they are an ‘off the grid’ solar PV design.
